Notting Hill Carnival: Brothers Shakiel Thibou, Sheldon Thibou, Shaeim Thibou Charged with Attempted Murder, Violent Disorder, Assault

A man will appear in court this morning charged with the attempted murder of a 32-year-old woman who was stabbed at Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday.

Shakiel Thibou, 20, of Masbro Road, W12, was arrested on Tuesday morning at an address in Hammersmith and Fulham.

In the early hours of Wednesday, August 28, he was charged with attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Two other men have been charged in relation to the same incident. The three men are brothers.

Sheldon Thibou, 24, of Star Road, W12, has been charged with violent disorder, possession of a stun gun and assaulting an emergency worker.

Shaeim Thibou, 22, of Charleville Road, W14, has been charged with violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker.

All three have been remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, officers deployed in Golborne Road, W10, as part of the Carnival policing operation, became aware of a woman who had been stabbed.

The officers, including police medics, gave emergency medical treatment until the arrival of paramedics. The woman was transported to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
